The RAF Harrowbeer 1940s Weekend is a free event for all to attend. It is held on ‘common land’ on Dartmoor which means even if we could, we are not able to charge for parking or entrance. Believe it or not, the event costs around £4,000 to put on and we rely entirely on sponsorship and donations from visitors to meet these costs. You can help by making a donation to our funds now, using one of the ways listed below.
We would like to thank all the businesses that support our event with sponsorship as it helps to pay for all the necessary attractions etc that are needed to put on the 1940s Weekend.

Become a sponsor for the event.
Our Business sponsorship package comes in £100 segments and you can sponsor us for one or more of these. In return, we will put a link to your company website on our sponsorship and home pages on this website, allow you to bring a stand or display to the event, and/or provide us with a banner or similar that we can place at a suitable position around the event site. We will also have a list of sponsors on a display board in front of the Spitfire, and finally we will mention you on any ‘handouts’ we may produce for the days of the event.

You can help support our event by making a donation to our funds. Any amount can be donated, small or large, so please donate now! As a guide, similar 1940s events where an admission charge is made, the cost is anywhere between £5 – £10 per person.
So how can you donate/sponsor?
1) You can donate/sponsor by BACS to Natwest Bank: Sort Code; 60-21-49 Acc No. 59619996 using the reference ‘Spitfire’.
2) Via Paypal. Log in to your paypal account and send your payment to email@example.com marking your donation ‘Spitfire’.
3) You can of course send us a cheque made out to: ‘RAF Harrowbeer 1940s Event’. For personal donations of £10, please include an SAE big enough for a postcard to fit in, we will send you back one of our silver plated ‘Harrowbeer Spitfire Fund’ badges. If you send us a cheque for £25 with an SAE (as above) we will send you our Gold plated Spitfire badge.
These badges were created for the 2011 70th Anniversary event and only 100 Gold plated and 400 Silver plated were created and there are only a very few of the gold ones left now. These badges are unique and won’t be re-made when they’re gone!
