RAF Harrowbeer is a former WWII Fighter Airfield at Yelverton, Devon. Our main website for all the history of the Airfield is www.rafharrowbeer.co.uk.
The 1940s Weekend started life as a one-off for the 70th Anniversary of the opening of the Airfield on the 15th August 1941. It proved so popular that after a gap of a year, the 1940s Weekend was created in 2013.
The 2018 1940s Weekend was organised by the RAF Harrowbeer Interest Group (HIG), in association with the Old Garden & Horticultural Machinery & Tools Club, WWII-Re-Enactment South West Group, and Tavistock Model Flying Club.
Sadly, due to the terrible weather overnight on Saturday/Sunday, the event had to be cancelled on the Sunday.
