How to find us

Public Transport:

There is a good, regular bus service from Plymouth to Tavistock by Stagecoach, (Service 1 & X1) which will drop you at Yelverton shops. Go across the road onto the Airfield and head for the flags! We hope to have a vintage bus running from the Yelverton bus stop to the show site.

By car:-

N.B. Access to Knightstone Tea Rooms will be maintained but parking will be restricted on the open Moor nearby to disabled and exhibitor traffic only. We are providing a marked off area for free public car parking. The road on the airfield between Knightstone and Whistley will be CLOSED to all traffic during the two days of the event.

From Plymouth:

Drive North from Plymouth and head for the Moors following signs for Tavistock and/or Yelverton. On approaching Yelverton, you will see the ‘1940s Event’ signs on the left, on either side of the road that takes you to Buckland Monachorum. This is also where you turn in to get to the famous ‘Rock’.

You can either park in the dispersal bays down past the Rock and then walk across to our event, or follow the yellow signs which will take you to the car park by Knightstone Tea Rooms. ALL car parks are free.

From Okehampton/Tavistock direction:

Follow the A386 from Tavistock towards Plymouth. Either proceed to the Rock junction (as above) but those with local knowledge may wish to turn off after Yelverton roundabout and follow our signs to the (free) car park at Axtown.

Exhibitors/Traders/Re-enactors.

Unless you have been advised otherwise, please use the public entrance (as above). If you have a vehicle pass please have it ready and you will be directed onto the show site. Vintage & Classic cars will be directed onto the show site on arrival at the main entrance.

Military Vehicles:

Military vehicles have their own display area, with a dedicated entrance at the top of the site. Please follow the relevant signs.
